The Chijioke Ugwueze Memorial Foundation (CUMEF) was established in loving memory of Hon. Chijioke Ugwueze, a visionary leader, public servant, and community advocate who dedicated his life to the service of humanity. Until his passing, Hon. Ugwueze was known for his unwavering commitment to justice, education, healthcare, and community empowerment.
He believed deeply in using public office and personal resources to create lasting change. The Foundation was thus born out of the desire to sustain his humanitarian ideals and community development legacy. Guided by the principles of compassion, inclusion, and accountability, HCUMF continues to champion initiatives that honour his memory, helping people live with dignity, purpose, and hope.
To empower and support vulnerable groups, particularly youths, widows, and the less privileged, through capacity building, education, healthcare interventions, peace promotion, and socio-economic development programs that foster inclusion and dignity.
Helping widows become self-reliant through financial support and entrepreneurial empowerment.
Training indigent youths in various skills, providing accommodation during training, and empowering them to start their own businesses.
Sponsoring brilliant students who lack financial support, covering WAEC/NECO, JAMB, Post-JAMB, and full university education.
To create a peaceful, healthy, and empowered society where every individual, regardless of background, has equal access to education, healthcare, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
With a dedicated Board of Trustees and strong community structures, we are committed to ensuring transparency, proper beneficiary selection, and long-term support.
